My son took my car to Supa Quick in Paarl this morning to have the tyres fitted, wheel balancing done, etc, and in the process they discovered that I also needed new brake pads, which were then also fitted.  He says the service he got from Ronelle was excellent, and all in all we are very happy with both your prompt service, and the good service received at Supa Quick.

I took my 2 daughters along with me to the Knysna Protea Hotel and we had a most stunning weekend.

The prize was for 2 people but they had no problem allowing me to pay for the additional 1.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the staff are very friendly and most helpful.  Our room had all the comforts we could wish for and the breakfast was an absolute treat.

Dear Reality

We are a group of friends going on a cruise to the Portuguese Islands in April. I decided to make use of Reality on 08 22 33 5000 and see how they couldn help with regards to flights.

I was contacted via e-mail by Yvette Mnisi whom provided us with the two best flight options taking into account our flight times and a few e-mails later the flights were booked, paid for and confirmed from both Reality and Kulula. This was easy, quick and convenient.

What impressed me the most was the friendly service from Yvette and her willingness to do whatever it took to make sure we got what we asked for. I asked a few silly questions via e-mail because it was the first time I used the service. Every single silly question was answered immediately. This service made it possible for me to carry on with my daily activities while someone else did the flight searching and bookings for me.
Thanks Yvette you’re a star! I will definitely use Reality again.

Reality by Sanlam offers a service which I wanted to cancel a few times before due to the fact that I never really used the service itself.

But by the constant communication through sms and e-mail it stayed in my thoughts the last few months. As I started to use the service it became more valuable to me due to the fact that you researched and bargained on my behalf. Chetna , you however have made a big difference in my planning for the honeymoon. You seemed to understand my situation of being in practice the whole day, seeing patients every half an hour and that I just never had the time to do the research myself during the day .

The only way we could communicate was during the evenings which was by E-mail. You never got irritated or lost your patience with me as we paged through the Lodges until we found what I was looking for.

You have exceeded my expectation, which in my books is the difference between good service and great service!

From day one Mbali made my interaction so pleasurable I did not feel ashamed to expose my ignorance to her as she was always willing to explain plainly.

I would like to congratulate Reality for the great benefits package you offer your members!

I’ve made extensive use of the 2FOR1 Dining benefit over the past few months and must say that I am really impressed with the whole concept.

I can now dine at a fraction of the normal price at expensive restaurants that I would otherwise overlook or reserve for special occasions.

It’s so simple to place a booking at the Reality call centre and the agents are all so helpful and professional. I’ve also found my first restaurant selection always available at the date and time that I requested.

The Editor,
I joined Reality recently after a telephone marketer did their job perfectly.

I received your Summer 2010 magazine and didn’t pay it that much attention until the weekend, when I picked it up and started paging through to see what Reality is all about.

Having received a quote for tyres for my Bakkie on the Friday, I could hardly wait for the Monday to arrive so that I could telephone Reality to put them to the test. The reason for this was twofold. The first reason was the motoring benefit, where I wanted to see if there is a benefit in Reality and the second was the winning letter in the Summer 2010 edition and I was curious to find out if I would receive feedback.

Lo and behold, I phoned Reality at 14h37 on Monday afternoon and was told that there was a 24 hour response time. So lets see.

The following day at 09h52, I received my reply, with the dealer information, prices and everything that I needed to know. The gentleman asked if he could make an appointment at the dealer for me and proceeded to do so for 12h00 on Wednesday.

I was unable to meet the appointment the following day and received a phone call from Heidi at Supa Kwik to find out if I still wanted the tyres. I replied in the affirmative and she told me that I could come in at my convenience and have the necessary done. The next day, Thursday, I phoned Heidi to enquire if it was necessary to book for a specific time, to which she replied:”No.” So I confirmed that I would be there later that same day.

Great was my surprise when at about 14h30 I received a call from Wayne at Supa Kwik to find out if I was still coming through. I was actually in the process of packing up at the office to go to Cape Town and have the tyres done and told him so. Wayne then informed me that due to the opening of Parliament that afternoon there was heavy congestion on the roads into town and he thought that it would be better if I came through the following day. Also he mentioned that by the time I finished there I would also be driving back in the peak traffic time out of town.

I went through on the Friday and had the tyres fitted and everything went like clockwork.

I do not normally take the time and/or trouble to write to bodies regarding good or bad service, being a fairly complacent South African, but felt that not only Reality but their partners went the extra mile in my case and think that you actually need to know about it.

I have left out the name of the person who initially assisted me with my enquiry, but I don’t have it, regretfully.

Firstly, kindly allow me the opportunity to congratulate you on the superb initiative of Reality! Being a client of Sanlam for the past 30 years already, I cannot think of a better way to earn dividends than with the Reality scheme! Well done on your idea and may your program go from strength to strength! The tyres of my vehicle is almost due for replacement and I was therefore overjoyed to have read of two happy Reality members as far as excellent tyre deals are concerned!

Secondly, I think your magazine also deserve special recognition. The content covers a wide variety and I am particularly chuffed with the competitions and the quality of prizes to be won. I would however, like to see a Crossword puzzle to be added! There are ample crossword puzzle enthusiasts out there, and I am of the opinion that a large number of Reality readers are amongst them!

My wife was killed in a car accident 2 weeks ago and previously to this, Jack was dealing with her. At the time of her dealings with Jack, my wife commented about his absolute professionalism. Following my wifes death, I have many urgent things to do but; notwithstanding this I am so impressed with the dealings I have had with Jack that I am duty-bound to drop other matters momentarily to personally ensure that his conduct is recognised.

I have found Jack to be an excellent communicator. He communicates clearly, and his manner is brilliant. He follows up on actions promised and ensures that the appropriate feedback is given. He is prepared to go the extra mile, and no request has ever been deferred because it is “not his job”. His commitment is evident but, more importantly, a genuine concern/willingness is portrayed in every verbal conversation I have had with him. It is clear to me that Jack views his role as more than just a job.

I would appreciate it if Jack is recognised through this commendation and I sincerely hope that he is ear-marked in your organisation for future promotion.

Ek verslind hom heel, van voor tot agter, soms sekere dele twee keer, dis net eenvoudig die moeite werd. In n mark van letterlik honderde tydskrifte het julle dit reg gekry om iets besonders, iets heeltemal anders op te dis, en wat n dis, smaaklik, insiggewend, stylvol en, as ek mag, effens verslawend.
